NOTES: |
|
| The West Australian of 28 Dec 1939 reported the delivery of a Ford bus registered 31110 to Federal Bus Service during that week. However, there is no mention of Federal operating a Ford in either Brian Francis` list of buses operated by Federal, published in Rattler, February 1976, nor in Bob Taylor`s recollections of the Service during the era pertinent to bus 31110, published in Rattler, June 1976. Similarly, no mention is made of a Ford bus in the handout to participants on the Western Australian Electric Traction Association`s Pioneer & Federal bus tour undertaken on Saturday 28 October 1972. | | | | | Conversely, both the WAETA handout records Federal No 10 as being an AEC. Bob Taylor remarked in his recollections that Federal had `forward control full cabs`. | | | | | A full-front AEC Regal of pre-WWII length & registered 31110 was involved in a major level crossing accident in Bayswater on Monday | | 8 May 1950 | |
